Yoop announces concert livestream series

Royce 5’9″, Sasha Sloan and Charlie Puth headlining

Yoop, an entertainment company empowering fans and creators through live events, has announced a partnership with L.A. LIVE’s Microsoft Theater to launch the first-ever Yoop eSpace in Los Angeles. With an initial lineup including Royce 5’9″ on March 11th, Sasha Sloan on March 24th and Charlie Puth on March 31st, the Yoop eSpace will host high-quality produced events from the venue that allow artists and creators to reach fans worldwide with an unprecedented live immersive and interactive eConcert experience.

The Yoop eSpace is creating a new category of live entertainment and will bring artists and creators center stage at Microsoft Theater to interact with fans through a live zero-lag, two-way visual and audio communication experience. Even with a virtual audience, the Yoop eSpace delivers the crowd energy of a live event as part of the eConcert experience.

Additional artists and creators appearing from the Yoop eSpace at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles will be announced in the coming weeks. Fans can purchase access for upcoming eConcerts directly through the Yoop app.

“We’re proud to team up with the iconic Microsoft Theater to bring our first Yoop eSpace to the entertainment capital of the world. The venue and its team are at the top of their class and embody the production quality we want to offer artists,” states Yoop Founder and CEO Benoit Fredette. “We created the Yoop eSpace with the connection between fans and creators at the core and our eConcert experience makes fans feel like they’re in the venue with their favorite artists and creators, even from the safety of their home.”

“We are incredibly excited the Microsoft Theater has been selected by Yoop to launch their eConcert Yoop eSpace experience technology,” says Lee Zeidman, President, STAPLES Center, Microsoft Theater and L.A. LIVE. “We look forward to the amazing line up of talented artists that will perform live from our stage while connecting with fans around the world and in doing so, strictly following all LA County Health Department rules and protocols to insure the safety environment for all.”

Yoop launched its first Yoop eSpace in Montreal last year and has produced over 100 events since, reactivating jobs within the music industry. Yoop prioritized the eSpace launch in light of the COVID-19 climate, but the technology was developed as a solution to supplement live concerts and will provide artists and creators the opportunity to connect with a wider fan base even when live audiences resume.

Yoop eSpace formats can be modified based on event, allowing customization for event producers, artists, teams, athletes, speakers, corporate presenters, and more. In addition, the Yoop eSpace allows the option of public or private events, capacity limits to cater to specific audiences, and on-demand.
