Yungblud announces fourth studio album, Idols North American tour

Part one of the two-part album drops this summer followed by a monthlong tour

British pop star Yungblud will release his fourth studio album, Idols, part one of a two-part album, on June 20th via Locomotion/Capitol Records. The 13-track offering is Yungbludโ€™s most ambitious yet. Making sure of no distractions, he headed to a location just outside of where he grew up in the north of England with producer Matt Schwartz at the helm, Bob Bradley on additional production, and guitarist Adam Warrington.

The projects sees Yungblud exploring the theme of hero-worship, how we look to others for validation, often putting othersโ€™ lives on a pedestal at the expense of the richness of our own experiences. Yungblud says, โ€œWe turn to others for an identity before turning to ourselves. Self-belief, self-reclamation, self-evolution and change. As we grow up, we lose our belief in magic and mystery. We begin to rationalize everything; our cage walls build up. We compare ourselves to 15 different people before weโ€™ve even had our breakfast.โ€

Idols will be available in digital, CD and four vinyl variants, including standard black vinyl, limited edition signed Distant Smoke marble vinyl, indie exclusive signed Supermoon silver vinyl, Amazon exclusive Wishing Well magenta vinyl ,and Spotify exclusive Hell and Back two-color vinyl. Each vinyl includes a four-page lyric booklet and one of six collectible double-sided photo lithos โ€“ unique to each vinyl variant โ€“ designed to form a cross-shaped image when the set is completed.

On August 23rd, Yungbludโ€™s 16-date North American headline tour will start in Los Angeles, with support from Sawyer Hill across all dates. Presales are available now ahead of the general sale on Friday, May 9th at 9 am local time.

The song follows the release of his nine minute and six second epic, “Hello Heaven, Hello,” and “Lovesick Lullaby.”

Bludfest, Yungbludโ€™s curated festival, will return to Milton Keynesโ€™s National Bowl for its highly anticipated second year this summer. Yungblud will once again top a bill featuring some of musicโ€™s most exciting emerging established talent, offering fans a stellar lineup at an affordable price. Last year saw a crowd of 40,000 fans gather for the festival. Bludfest Year 2 takes place on June 21st.
