Zac Brown Band announces Black Out the Sun 2016 tour

Zac Brown Band will kick off their Black Out The Sun 2016 Tour, its sixth headlining US concert tour, on Thursday, May 19th at Hartford’s XFINITY Theatre. Inspired by a lyric from “Tomorrow Never Comes” on their latest album JEKYLL + HYDE, the 29-date tour includes shows at both stadiums and amphitheaters and sees the band returning to Alpine Valley Music Theatre, Citi Field and Fenway Park for two-night stints. Drake White & The Big Fire are direct support for Zac Brown Band.

The tour announcement comes on the heels of the three-time GRAMMY-winner’s largest North American tour to date. This included two history-making performances – a first ever sold-out, three-night run at Fenway Park, and the first-ever concert at Coors Field along with performances at Wrigley Field, Nationals Park, Citi Field, Comerica Park and Citizen’s Bank Park.

Released this past April, JEKYLL + HYDE (Southern Ground/John Varvatos Records/Big Machine Label Group/Republic Records) debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart, earning the GRAMMY Award-winning band its third consecutive #1, and is officially certified gold by the RIAA. Zac Brown Band also recently earned a 2016 ACM nomination for “Vocal Group of the Year.”

Prior to kicking off their 2016 tour, Zac Brown Band’s Southern Ground Music & Food Festival returns to Charleston, SC for its fifth year on Saturday and Sunday, April 16th and 17th. Headliners include Tedeschi Trucks Band and Thomas Rhett with additional performances by Michael Franti & Spearhead, Kacey Musgraves, Hunter Hayes, Marshall Tucker Band and more.

Ticket pre-sales for Zamily fan club members is available for select dates starting March 1st and ZacBrownBand.com. Tickets for the general public go on sale for select dates starting March 4th. American Express Card Members can purchase tickets in select markets before the general public beginning Tuesday, March 1 at 12 pm. A Citi cardmember pre-sale begins Wednesday, March 2nd through Citi’s Private Pass Program.
