Songs appear on forthcoming album

Warner Music Nashville/Home Grown Music’s Zac Brown Band is delighting old and new fans alike with more new music. “Stubborn Pride (featuring Marcus King),” written by Zac Brown, Ben Simonetti and Marcus King, and “Paradise Lost on Me,” written by Brown, Simonetti, Jonathan Singleton and Wyatt Beasley Durrette, III, both showcase the band’s GRAMMY award-winning, distinct sound. Both songs available digitally.

With poignant lyrics and a heartfelt message, “Stubborn Pride (featuring Marcus King)” shows the band’s more serious side. “‘Stubborn Pride’ means a lot to me,” Brown shares. “I love the poetry of the verses in this one. Sometimes it takes people a long time to get everything right. But with your stubborn pride, it’s hard to admit that you messed up a little bit and that you need a change. I tell people that are having a hard time that it’s never too late to get it right.”

The beachy “Paradise Lost on Me” transports the listener to a tropical paradise, though Brown explains that it’s “the happiest sad song we have ever done. I love the second verse: ‘Without you, it’s just waves trashing kids’ castles and it’s the salt in the wound all over again.’ The guy found love there at this spot and never found anything like it again, so he comes back to that place again to be close to where it happened. In the song, we never give away what happened to her, but you know it was something he could never actually get over. You have to write your own story.”

The group’s unifying current radio single “Same Boat” was the most added at country radio week of impact and is rapidly approaching Top 20. With 18 million global streams to date, the poignant song debuted at No. 25 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart and No. 34 at Country Aircheck/Mediabase.

For more than a decade, Zac Brown Band has topped the charts, with six consecutive albums reaching the top 10 on the Billboard 200 and five consecutive albums debuting at No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Albums chart. To date, the group has won three Grammy Awards (including Best New Artist in 2010), sold more than 30 million singles, nine million albums, amassed nearly ten billion catalog streams, achieved 15 No. 1 radio singles, and is the second act to top both the Country and Active Rock format charts.

Up next for the band is The Comeback Tour, which kicks off next week in Holmdel, NJ and runs through October with Caroline Jones joining as the only female band member. In addition, as a special thank you to fans, Zac Brown Band along with many other superstar artists are celebrating the Return to Live concerts this summer by offering $20 all-in tickets to their shows across Live Nation’s outdoor venues. Tickets are available to the general public while supplies last.
