Zakk Wylde joins 2019 Experience Hendrix Tour

Black Label Society guitarist/singer joins Joe Satriani, Dave Mustaine and others

It has just been revealed that Zakk Wylde, known for his work with Black Label Society and Ozzy Osbourne, will be joining the 2019 Experience Hendrix Tour for select dates throughout March in the South and Midwest, including the tour kickoff at Pompano Beach Amphitheater in Florida on March 3rd. A veteran of the Experience Hendrix Tour, the critically acclaimed multi-artist celebration of Jimi Hendrix’s musical genius, Wylde joins artists as diverse as Joe Satriani, fellow metal legend Dave Mustaine, blues great Taj Mahal, Dweezil Zappa, Jonny Lang, Eric Johnson and original Hendrix bassist, Billy Cox.

The New Jersey native first rose to fame when he was just 19 years old as lead guitarist and co-writer for Ozzy Osbourne. Thereafter, he founded Black Label Society in 1998 and sometimes performed double-duty with both bands at Ozzfest. Black Label Society went on to become a touring juggernaut and have to date released seven successful studio albums. The group’s albums have been top sellers and Black Label Society has attracted millions of fans around the world who have turned out to witness both Wylde’s guitar virtuosity and his distinctive song craft. Wylde first appeared as part of the Experience Hendrix Tour in 2014 and has made repeat appearances in the years since.

“Hendrix you can pick out from a mile away. His sound, his execution – he was about as unique as it gets,” states Wylde of the tour’s namesake. “I’m a fan of all the guys on the tour. I’m just excited to get out there and hang around the whole thing. Just watching them play and jammin’ with them – it’s gonna be insane.”
