Multi-Platinum pop phenomenon Zara Larsson is back with “Can’t Tame Her,” a fiercely empowering new single available now via Sommer House/Black Butter Records.

Co-written by Larsson with long-standing collaborators MNEK and MTHR – plus Grammy-winning US producer Danja (Britney, Timabland and more) – “Can’t Tame Her” introduces Zara Larsson’s new era in spectacular, suitably-unstoppable fashion. With its glossy, futuristic bounce and shimmering 80s-inspired synths, the track’s upbeat momentum drives towards an immediately-chantable chorus as Larsson proclaims, “you can’t tame her!” The accompanying video seamlessly translates this energy – and fierce, female-forward message – to the screen, having been shot in Prague with choreography from JaQuel Knight (who Zara first worked with on the now-iconic ‘Love Me Land’ video, as recently co-signed by Britney Spears).

The first release from Larsson’s upcoming, third international album, “Can’t Tame Her” also marks the launch of her newly-minted alliance between her own Sommer House label and Epic/Black Butter Records. Having taken control of her entire recording catalogue – which has been streamed over nine billion times, the still-just-25 year old’s trailblazing deal made headlines worldwide and marks the next chapter for one of Swedish pop’s most exciting international stars.

A bold step forward in sound, visuals and storytelling, “Can’t Tame Her” also aptly represents the irrepressibly positive attitude that has gotten Larsson to where she is in 2023. A prodigious talent, Larsson provokes and pushes pop culture forward with enlightened and energized anthems that soar and seduce all at once. With every move, she continues to quietly make history and break records: her Platinum-certified 2017 full-length, So Good, notably stands out as one of the most-streamed debuts on Spotify by a female artist ever. Larsson’s growing catalogue boasts one smash after another, from “Never Forget You,” “Lush Life,” and “Ain’t My Fault” to anthemic Clean Bandit collaboration “Symphony.”

2020’s second international album, Poster Girl, featured breakout hits like “Ruin My Life,” “Wow,” and saw Larsson make further strides towards pop’s top table. Launched entirely in lockdown, the project nonetheless saw Larsson push boundaries, performing virtually for Roblox and hosting a viral livestream show in partnership with Ikea on International Women’s Day. The last year or so has seen Larsson unleashed, once more, into the real world: she played a sold out Poster Girl European arena tour, scored a hit collaboration with Alesso, whilst dropping a cover of ABBA’s “Lay All Your Love On Me” for Spotify Singles, where Larsson also attended the band’s Voyage premiere.
