The song will be issued in Aug

Britney Spears and Elton John have reportedly recorded a secret duet of his song, “Tiny Dancer.” Page Six reports the pair met at a Beverly Hills recording studio last week to cut a new version of the 1971 classic. They also state that Universal Music will release the track next month.

“This was Elton’s idea, and Britney is a huge fan. They have recorded a remix of ‘Tiny Dancer’ as a full duet — and it is incredible,” one music industry insider the publication.

The song is said to be produced by Andrew Watt, who produced Ozzy Osbourne’s 2021 album Ordinary Man and his forthcoming Patient Number 9.

“They’ve already played it for people at their record label, and everybody is freaking out. It is so good,” the source teases. “They are saying this is going to be the song of the summer. Britney is officially back. She’s back to work, and she’s super excited.”

Spears has been vocal on social media about returning to music after her nearly 14 year conservatorship was canceled in November 2021.

The song would follow John’s collaboration album, The Lockdown Sessions, released last fall via UMG. The album is a collection of collaborations that were recorded remotely during the pandemic featuring a dazzlingly diverse array of 16 tracks that celebrate togetherness and sees John collaborating with an unparalleled range of artists only he could draw together.

John is set to perform his last US concert this fall when he headlines three shows at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles in November. John embarked on his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour in September 2018 – its milestone, multi-year itinerary comprising over 300 shows across five continents. Currently on the road in North America, the final concert will be the subject of a Disney+ documentary about his 50 year career.
