Band returns to the road on Aug 14th

Tesla is the latest act to postpone tour dates due to COVID-19. The band shared the news on social media on Sunday (Aug 8th) stating someone within their touring entourage has contracted the virus.

“Tesla to postpone their next few engagements due to members of the touring party contracting COVID. The band look forward to returning to the road soon,” the post reads.

While specific shows and dates aren’t specified, the band was scheduled for Full Throttle Saloon in Sturgis, SD on Monday (Aug 9th) and back to back performances at Island Resort & Casino in Harris, MI on August 11th and 12th. Their next scheduled date is August 14th at Q Casino & Hotel: Back Waters Stage in Dubuque, IA.

Tesla was just two dates into its Let’s Get Real North American tour which kicked off August 5th in Grants Pass, OR. The nearly 30 date trek includes stops with Lynyrd Skynyrd, Kid Rock and Styx.

Just the day before, Skynyrd also postponed and canceled four dates on its Big Wheels Keep on Turnin’ Tour due to long time guitarist Rickey Medlocke contracting COVID-19.

Foo Fighters and Buckcherry are among the acts who’ve been forced to postpone or cancel dates to someone within their touring camps testing positive for the deadly disease. As cases of the delta variant rise across the country, Garth Brooks is also considering the future of his stadium tour within the next month.
