Special airs Apr 11th live from Nashville
CBS and CMT have together announced a new air date and venue for the 2022 CMT Music Awards, country music’s only entirely fan-voted awards show, which will now broadcast live on Monday, April 11th from 8-11 pm live ET/delayed PT from Nashville’s historic Municipal Auditorium, and various locations in and around Nashville.
This will be the inaugural broadcast of the show on the CBS Television Network, as ViacomCBS’ signature country music tentpole celebrates the hottest stars with high-powered, cross-genre performances from in and around Music City. The show will also be available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.
The show was initially set for Sunday, April 3rd at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, but was moved after the Recording Academy postponed the 64th GRAMMY Awards from January 31st in Los Angeles due to an uptick of COVID cases.
Nominations, voting and additional details on the show will be announced in the coming weeks.
