The project is the fourth album from Bush’s lo-fill chill project
Kristian Bush, his brother Brandon Bush, and their close collaborator Benji Shanks are wading back into the waters of lo-fi chill music this week with the fourth album in their Cabin Chill project evolution, FaerieCore. This collection takes relaxation and concentration music outdoors into the rich, fertile world of the Appalachian wilderness.
The ten-song album incorporates hypnotic beats, acoustic guitars and ambient nature sounds into the signature Cabin Chill meditative grooves.
Brandon Bush said it was no coincidence that FaerieCore came to life as his wife was binging on the Sarah J. Mass “A Court of Thorns and Roses” (ACOTAR) series – a popular series set in the faerie realm.
“What I love about this project is how what began as a fun afternoon in the studio with Kristian and Benji has taken on a life of its own, growing and evolving with each release,” states Brandon Bush. “We keep peeling back layers in this world of passive listening and finding bizarre and captivating sub-genres.”
FaerieCore, a subgenre born from the heart of Cottage Core and Goblin Core, embraces earthy and nature themes with a sprinkle of enchanting magic.
“If you’re a FaerieCore freak, we’re what you want to be listening to,” Kristian Bush adds.
