St Vincent shares ‘Big Time Nothing’

The track is the third advanced single from the new album

“Big Time Nothing,” the third song to be released in advance of St. Vincent’s feverishly anticipated All Born Screaming, is out now. Featuring a precarious balance of ennui and urgency underpinned by brainworm basslines, the newly unleashed track expands on the incendiary sonic palette of side one of the new album—forming a fiery trifecta that is “Flea” and “Broken Man.”

All Born Screaming will be released on Friday, April 26th via Total Pleasure Records in partnership with Virgin Music Group.

“Big Time Nothing” received its world premiere today (Tues, Apr 23rd) on BBC Radio 1’s Future Sounds as their Hottest Record in the World. The Hottest Record is a historic and world-renowned feature, highlighting the most important new global track release of the day.

The three-time Grammy winner’s first self-produced record and seventh album overall, All Born Screaming is an invitation from St. Vincent to test the limits of what is possible–and to then keep going; Brought to life with the aid of a highly curated roster of friends — Rachel Eckroth, Josh Freese, Dave Grohl, Mark Guiliana, Cate Le Bon, Justin Meldal-Johnsen, Stella Mogzawa and David Ralicke — the album is an unadulterated expression of St. Vincent’s singular vision.

The project was produced by St. Vincent and mixed by Cian Riordan.

The pop star will take the album on the road with an extensive tour. The North American dates kick off May 22nd in Ventura, California and wrap September 20th in St. Paul, Minnesota. This summer will also dates at Best Kept Secret Festival in The Netherlands and The Northside Festival in Denmark, among others in Europe.
