The pop star has teamed with Apple Music and AMC to bring a visual listening experience to theaters
Billie Eilish has announced additional listening parties for her upcoming third studio album, Hit Me Hard and Soft. Hit Me Soft and Hard – A Listening Event Presented by Apple Music will be available in AMC theaters on May 16th and 17th. Fans will have the chance to be one of the first to hear the new album with a visual accompaniment exclusively across most Dolby Cinema at AMC Theatres in North America ahead of its availability in Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos on Apple Music.
Tickets cost $5 each and are on sale. A portion of the proceeds go to AMC Cares Charitable Fund which provides grants and financial assistance to qualified non-profit organizations.
Yesterday, Billie Eilish announced two pre-release album listening events in New York City and Los Angeles. The free events presented by American Express, and produced by Live Nation, will take place on Wednesday, May 15th in Brooklyn, New York at Barclays Center in association with YouTube Music and Thursday, May 16th in Los Angeles at the Kia Forum in association with Snapchat. Special perks for American Express Card Members will be available. Fans can request up to two tickets for the free parties in New York and Los Angeles.
The album listening events follow Billie Eilish’s massive Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour announcement. Starting in September 2024, Eilish will embark on her North American leg of the tour which runs through to the end of December 2024. The tour will continue in Australia starting February 2025 ahead of her European, UK, and Ireland arena dates from April through late July.
Eilish’s forthcoming album was written by Eilish and brother and longtime collaborator Finneas, who also produced the album. The project will be available on all digital platforms, and in a variety of limited edition physical formats in a continued effort to minimize waste and combat climate change.
