Adam Lambert unleashes ‘CVNTY’

The song appears on his hedonistic new EP coming in July

Grammy-nominated international superstar Adam Lambert releases “CVNTY,” an empowering revenge anthem of fierce self-assurance from his hedonistic and unfiltered EP Afters arriving July 19th via The Orchard. The fiery kiss-off anthem marks the first time Lambert has produced vocals himself.

“CVNTY” is all about owning your power, turning heads, and leaving a lasting impression. With lyrics that cut deep, it tells the story of a love so intense it could bring a city to its knees, only to end with unapologetic independence and the sweet taste of revenge.

“The songs on Afters are all about desire and connection, but what about when things don’t work out and a lover messes up? ‘CVNTY’ recalls running into an ex at a party and feeling empowered enough to tell them they lost their chance, and feeling like you look damn good as you do!” Lambert shares.

An exploration of sexuality and liberation, Afters captures the essence of modern queer culture with pulsating beats and sultry lyrics.

“Creating Afters has been such a liberating experience as I chose to craft an EP of house music that’s unapologetically queer and sex-positive,” Lambert shares. “I throw many house parties and my aim was to create a soundtrack inspired by wild nights, giving a voice to our communities’ hedonistic desires and exploits. Feeling more confident than ever, I wanted to get shamelessly raw and real with the listener. AFTERS is meant to make you move, sweat, fantasize and connect!”

Afters follows Adam’s LP of inspired covers, High Drama, which earned him his fifth top 10 on Billboard’s Album Sales Chart. The album kickstarted the next chapter in Lambert’s solo career, drawing on his well-known penchant for high drama — an artist comfortable in his skin, being well and truly himself, and loving every minute.
