PPULBATU are introduced to MOA
Gen Z Icons Tomorrow X Together has unveiled their highly anticipated first official characters PPULBATU.
In the launch video released on the K-pop group’s official social media channels, the five PPULBATU characters depart Magic Island to meet MOA and unexpectedly crash-land at Ttukseom Park in Seoul. The video pays homage to the music video for “Frost,” where the members teleport to Ttukseom Park through a time-space portal, cleverly weaving in the band’s unique narrative.
PPULBATU is a combination of ‘ppul’ (meaning ‘horn’ in Korean) and Tomorrow X Together, pointing to the crucial symbol in the quintet’s narrative from their debut single “Crown” for a special touch. PPULBATU can also be interpreted as Plux X Together, signifying the added joy and happiness that come from being together.
On the new Instagram account opened in light of the launch of PPULBATU, a livestream-style video was posted to introduce the five individual characters: Choi Yongmong (Soobin), Hwang Chun (Yeonjun), Bamgut (Beomgyu), Da-Go-Nyang (Taehyung), and Hum Nya Ring (Hueningkai). Each character exhibits a distinct appearance and personality, boasting a rich diversity of vibrant charms.
Choi Yong Meong, the “brave puppy,” is a gaming enthusiast. Hwang Choon, with its adorable appeal, is a fox that enjoys rapping. Bamgeut embodies happiness and spreads joy. Da-Go-Nyang is a chocolate-filled pastry aficionado with striking abs. Hhm Nya Ring is a timid character that hides its eyes with bangs and expresses emotions with emojis on its hoodie.
The new characters were designed to capture the quintet’s wish to be MOA’s best friend, always by their side, whenever and wherever’. Developed from sketches drawn by the members themselves, the band’s vision was reflected in each character’s name, personality, and interests. Following the launch of PPULBATU, Tomorrow X Together plans to roll out a series of related projects.
Tomorrow X Together is currently wowing global audiences on their third world tour Act: Promise in Japan, spanning Tokyo, Osaka, Aichi, and Fukuoka. Gen Z Icons’ first dome tour in Japan is marked as the fastest dome tour since the debut of a K-pop artist.
