Short N’ Sweet tops the charts in 15 countries
Sabrina Carpenter has scored one of the biggest global debuts of 2024 with her unanimously acclaimed new album, Short n’ Sweet, out now via Island Records. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, marking her first No. 1 on the respective chart.
She has taken streaming platforms by storm, emerging as Spotify’s Weekly US Top Artist. Not to mention, all 12 album tracks have impressively claimed spots in both Spotify’s US Top 20 and the Top 40 of Spotify’s Global Top 200. Simultaneously, all tracks debuted and are still charting within the Top 40 on Apple Music and the Top 15 on Apple Pop. While “Taste” sits atop both Apple Music’s Overall Song Chart at No. 1 and Apple Pop at No. 1, the track has also captured top spot on Spotify’s US chart, dethroning her own “Please Please Please.”
She recently shared the official music video for “Taste” which trended at No. 1 on US Trending Videos, Global Top Music Videos, and US Top Music Videos. The Dave Meyers-directed video features Jenna Ortega starring alongside Sabrina in an exhilarating visual experience.
The album includes “Espresso” and “Please Please Please,” both of which became instant chart toppers and songs of the summer. “Espresso” became the third fastest song to hit one billion streams in Spotify history while “Please Please Please” continues to dominate popular culture and became Carpenter’s first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and still rules airwaves at No. 1 on pop radio.
Next month, Carpenter will make her MTV Video Music Awards mainstage performance debut where she is also nominated six times. including Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop. Less than two weeks later, she will embark on her sold-out arena tour, the Short n’ Sweet Tour, which kicks off September 23rd in Columbus. The 33-date tour will hit cities across the US and Canada including New York, Los Angeles, Nashville, Toronto, Austin, and more.
