The song follows the six-time platinum “A Bar Song (Tipsy)”

Shaboozey unveils his new single “Good News” and video via American Dogwood/Empire. The track marks another exciting addition to Shaboozey’s 2024 musical journey, showcasing his signature sound and emotional depth with long-time collaborators Nevin Sastry and Sean Cook. His heartfelt vocals about struggle and hope atop acoustic guitar, fiddle, and pedal steel make for a stirring plea that will resonate with anyone facing tough times—but still moving forward.

“Good News” is Shaboozey’s first new original track since the release of his RIAA-gold certified masterpiece album Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going. Shaboozey’s most boldly realized work yet, the 12-song opus established him as a force to be reckoned with as a genre-bending musical leader and has held strong on the Billboard 200 charts.

Last week, the multi-faceted artist was nominated for the upcoming 67th Annual Grammy Awards in the categories of Best New Artist, Song of the Year for “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” Best Country Solo Performance for “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” Best Country Song for “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” Best Melodic Rap Performance for Beyonce’s “Spaghetti” also featuring Linda Martell and Best Remixed Recording for “A Bar Song (Tipsy) [Remix]” with David Guetta. These nominations are the first Grammy nods for Shaboozey.

He’s also been recognized for his meticulous work as a TIME100 Next honoree and Billboard Country Power Player, two People’s Choice Country Award wins (New Artist of 2024 and New Artist Song of 2024), two nominations at the MTV Video Music Awards (Best New Artist and Song of the Summer) and upcoming CMA Awards (New Artist of the Year and Single of the Year).

Shaboozey’s breakthrough anthem, the six-time RIAA-platinum certified, “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” is the biggest consumed track of 2024 according to Luminate. It holds the record for the longest-leading Hot 100 No. 1 track ever by a solo artist at 17 weeks while also topping Billboard’s Hot Country Songs, Country Airplay Chart, and Mediabase/Country Aircheck charts. Shaboozey made history as the first artist ever to have a single hit No. 1 across all four charts: Country Airplay, Pop Airplay, Adult Pop Airplay, and Rhythmic Airplay, and the first-ever black male artist to top both the Billboard Hot 100 and Country Songs Charts. The song has amassed over a billion streams and landed in the Top 10 in several countries, with multiple No. 1s in Australia (becoming the first independent single to reach No. 1 on the Australian Recording Industry Association charts this year), Canada, Sweden, Denmark, and the UK’s Big 40.

Shaboozey recently wrapped his fully sold-out fall 2024 Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going headlining tour. The expansive run saw Shaboozey playing his largest venues to date with stops in Washington DC, New York, Atlanta, Nashville, and more before wrapping up in Los Angeles. He’s currently on the road with Jelly Roll on his Beautifully Broken Tour, playing to arena-sized audiences across the southern and midwestern US. He will head overseas in 2025 for a run of performances throughout Europe and the United Kingdom.
