Brooks & Dunn, Kacey Musgraves celebrate ‘Neon Moon’ platinum certification

The song appears on their 2019 collaboration Reboot album

Brooks & Dunn and Kacey Musgraves were recently recognized for the success of their collaboration on “Neon Moon,” which has officially been certified platinum by the RIAA. Captivating listeners since its 2019 release on Brooks & Dunn’s Reboot, Musgraves co-produced the reimagination with Dann Huff, transforming the classic that introduced the track to a new generation of fans.

The song appears on their 2019 Reboot album which featured Kane Brown, Thomas Rhett, Brett Young, Lanco, Ashley McBryde, Midland, Luke Combs, Brothers Osborne, Cody Johnson, Jon Pardi, and Tyler Booth teaming with Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn to reimagine their famous catalog of hits.

Last month, the Country Music Hall of Famers released Reboot II featuring an exciting lineup of today’s most innovative musicians, including Lainey Wilson, Morgan Wallen, Marcus King Band, Megan Moroney, Warren Zeiders, Jelly Roll, Riley Green, The Cadillac Three, Halestorm, Mitchell Tenpenny, The Earls of Leicester, Jake Worthington, Hailey Whitters, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Hardy, Ernest, A Thousand Horses and Corey Kent. Each artist was given creative freedom to reinterpret the duo’s beloved hits as their own, putting wildly different spins on the beloved songs. Spanning genres from progressive country to metal to orchestral pop, the 18-track album transforms the fabric of classic B&D songs, as the artists were encouraged to break conventions and explore new sonic landscapes.
