Nearly 80 marquee items from music superstars were sold to benefit victims of recent LA wildfires
Julien’s Auctions concluded the headline making Give a Frock Auction, in a sensational white glove sale to raise money for those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires today Tuesday, February 25th at Julien’s Studios in Los Angeles and online.
Electrifying the auction stage was the appearance of Chappell Roan’s vintage sequined marching band unitard worn in her “Hot To Go!” music video costume and on stage which realized an astounding $88,900, 88 times the estimate of $1,000; other fashion pieces adorned on Roan that sold for top prices included her purple satin corset top and fringe ensemble stage-worn by Roan at the Goldfield Trading Post in Roseville, California on September 25, 2023 at $22,225, 22 times estimate of $1,000; and Roan’s Marc Jacobs Rolling Stone Magazine photo shoot worn boots at $6,350.
Top music instruments, memorabilia and video and performance worn outfits rocked such as Dave Grohl’s signed Epiphone DG-335 Pelham Blue Signature Model electric guitar that stole the show for $50,800, 25 times estimate of $2,000, and signed 2023 Super Bowl commercial-worn Crown Royal cape at $7,620; the Beastie Boys rare, stage-worn personalized Adidas tracksuits stage worn on stage by the trio during their 2004 “To The 5 Boroughs” Tour at $38,100; Shirley Manson “I Think I’m Paranoid” Garbage music video worn dress at $31,750, 63 times the estimate of $500; Sabrina Carpenter “Taste” polka-dot outfit at $22,225, 37 times the estimate of $600, and “Please Please Please” Alaia hooded blue velvet mini-dress worn in her iconic music videos at $34,925, 23 times the estimate of $1,500, as well as Jenna Ortega’s strapless dress worn opposite Carpenter in her “Taste” music video at $13,000, 26 times the estimate of $500; Charli XCX bridal-inspired ensemble at $22,225, 22 times the estimate of $1,000, and custom-made Gucci outfit stage worn on her 2024 Sweat Tour at $8,890; and more.
Nearly 80 pop culture pieces from today’s biggest names in pop music, Hollywood, sports, and entertainment went under the hammer for the initiative spearheaded by celebrity stylist Lindsey Hartman, in conjunction with the G*VE A F*CK LA benefit concert in Los Angeles. The collection included iconic looks from Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Charli XCX, Hayley Williams, Cher, the Beastie Boys, Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, Lil Nas X, Pamela Anderson, Toni Braxton, Post Malone, Shirley Manson, Avril Lavigne, St. Vincent, Kathleen Hanna, Caroline Polachek, Latto, Kelly Rowland, Olivia Rodrigo, Jenna Ortega, Sky Ferreira, Jeff Goldblum, and Sandra Oh among others plus, musical Instruments and memorabilia from Dave Grohl, Ziggy Marley, Ozzy Osbourne, as well as fashions from designers Marc Jacobs, Rodarte, Dolce and Gabbana, costumes from Everything Everywhere All At Once and Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, and items related to Anora, Lost in Translation, Yellowjackets and more. Proceeds will benefit One Voice, Altadena Girls, Pasadena Humane and Friends in Deed.
