Each artist will perform their Amazon Music Originals at Stagecoach this weekend
Amazon Music releases three reimagined country classics from Dasha, Flatland Cavalry, and Sierra Ferrell featuring Nikki Lane ahead of their respective sets at Stagecoach this weekend. Dasha takes on Gretchen Wilson’s hit song, “Here For The Party,” while Flatland Cavalry honors legend, George Strait with their version of, “All My Ex’s Live In Texas,” and Sierra Ferrell joins forces with Nikki Lane for a cover of Dottie West’s “A Lesson In Leavin’.” The artists will each perform their new Amazon Music Original tracks live for the first time during their Stagecoach livestream on Amazon Music.
Dasha’s take on “Here for the Party” captures the bold, celebratory spirit of Wilson’s original version while adding her unique and playful flair.
“‘Here for the Party’ is unapologetic and fun. When I perform this track, it feels like I’m giving people permission to let loose and be themselves. It’s the kind of song that owns the room, and that’s the vibe l love bringing to my shows,” the California native shares.
Flatland Cavalry’s rendition of “All My Ex’s Live in Texas” honors George Strait’s classic while adding their own smooth, modern flair.
“We’ve been playing a snippet of ‘All My Ex’s…’ during our live show as an intro to one of our tunes, ‘Old School;’ which references George Strait and his music being an influence in my life while growing up in Texas,” states frontman Cleto Cordero. “When Amazon approached us about the opportunity we figured it’d be fun to re-record it in its entirety in the key we play it in live, adding our own unique spin. Now that myself and a few others in the band hang our hats in Nashville these days it wasn’t all too hard to get into the spirit— Hopefully George can hear it!”
Sierra Ferrell and Nikki Lane breathe new life into Dottie West’s track “A Lesson In Leavin’,” which was popularized by Jo Dee Messina in the late 90s. This new cover delivers a soulful, harmonized version of the beloved song.
“I picked to cover ‘A Lesson In Leavin’’ because frankly it’s a good message and it’s real fun to sing with one of your best friends. Nikki Lane is a close buddy so it was a no-brainer to ask her to join me on this empowering lil tune,” Ferrell adds.
