Reba, Snoop Dogg, Niall Horan, Michael Buble return to ‘The Voice’ for season 28

Season 28 premieres this fall on NBC

Reba McEntire, Snoop Dogg, Niall Horan, and Michael Bublé are all set to return as coaches for season 28 of NBC’s The Voice this fall. The network shared the news during its Upfront presentation this weekend in New York City.

This will mark the fourth run for Reba, who previously served as a coach from seasons 24-26. Bublé, who was featured on seasons 26 and the current 27th, and Horan, who was a coach on seasons 23-24, will both return for a third time, while Snoop returns after coaching season 26. Carson Daly will return as host.

Deadline reports the show will have a different pattern this fall than its previous runs due to NBC’s coverage of the NBA. The show launch will be with two hours on Mondays and Tuesdays in September before moving to one night a week with the NBA. Fans can see the show on Tuesdays for three weeks at the start of the season before moving to Mondays through at least December. The NBA schedule is still being finalized, so airdates are subject to change.

Reba, who is doing double duty with the Peacock network, will return with her sitcom, Happy’s Place, which NBC picked up for a second season, this fall. Tapings start in June and wrap in late November, leaving all 18 episodes nearly canned before it premieres as a tentpole show on Fridays in November.

Season 27 of NBC’s four-time Emmy Award-winning competition series The Voice will conclude during the live show on Tuesday, May 20th with special performances from from superstars and former coaches. Alicia Keys, Blake Shelton, Chance the Rapper, Foreigner, James Bay, Sheryl Crow, Joe Jonas, Kelly Clarkson, and season 22 winner Bryce Leatherwood will perform on the star-studded season 27 finale on May 20th.

Fans can also anticipate electrifying performances from the four coaches. During the live broadcast on Tuesday, May 13th, Ballerini will perform hit single “Baggage” and Legend takes to the stage with fan favorite “So High.” The following week on Monday, May 19th, Bublé will dazzle with “Always on My Mind.”

The Voice is the No. 1 most-watched alternative series for the sixth consecutive broadcast season. The recent fall and midseason cycles have reached 46 million viewers across platforms.
