Psychic Fever releases ‘Gelato’

The track drops ahead of the group’s third EP

The worldwide J-pop sensation Psychic Fever makes a grand return to the music scene with the single track “Gelato,” ahead of their highly awaited third EP, Psychic File III. Fresh off the success of their first U.S. tour and iconic SXSW headlining performance, “Gelato” is the group’s first release after signing with Warner Music Group via Warner Music Japan and in partnership with 10K Projects in the U.S. With a delicate intro that hints at a fleeting summer romance, it is a refreshing love song that embodies a perfect breeze on a beach day.

“Gelato” expresses the complications of love through the members’ bittersweet yet tender vocals. The sound is rooted in alternative R&B, with subtle infusions of electro disco and synth elements. It illustrates the essence of summer– a thrilling premonition of a summer fling, accompanied by the sound of splashing waves and the taste of an icy sweet treat. The lyric’s hip-hop inspired wordplay also represents a callback to the group’s global hit “Just Like Dat” featuring JP The Wavy, demonstrating their versatility and ability to reinvent upon their current discography.

The track garnered significant attention after its first live performance at the Expo 2025 LDH Day Special Jr. Exile Live concert on April 29th, followed by an early release on TikTok on April 30th. As a pre-release track from their third EP, this marks the first step in their journey under the wings of a major U.S. label. With their European and U.S. fan meeting tour on the way, Psychic Fever is sure to make some summer waves that will last a lifetime.
