Jon Anderson confirms 2025 tour dates are not canceled

The run kicks off on June 15th in Washington, DC

This morning (Wed, May 21st), a false report circulated claiming that Jon Anderson and The Band Geeks had canceled the second leg of their 2025 tour. According to Anderson’s manager, Larry Mazer, Anderson is in good health, and all scheduled dates will proceed as planned.

The 11-show tour commences June 15th at the Warner Theater in Washington, DC, and ends July 13th at The Factory in St. Louis, Missouri. The tour will feature an evening of Yes classics as well as tracks from their critically acclaimed debut album True released August 2024.

Anderson co-founded Yes in 1968 with bassist Chris Squire. He was a primary creative force behind many of Yes’s epic and complex pieces like “Close to the Edge,” “Awaken,” and “The Gates of Delirium.” He had several tenures with the band between 1968 and 2008.

Beyond Yes, Anderson has had an extensive solo career, releasing numerous albums like his debut Olias of Sunhillow in 1976. He is also well-known for his collaborations, particularly with Greek synthesizer composer Vangelis, as the duo Jon & Vangelis. He has also worked with other notable artists such as King Crimson, Toto, Mike Oldfield, and Rick Wakeman.

The group recently released Jon Anderson and The Band Geeks Live – Perpetual Change, a live CD/DVD.
