Ole 60 earns platinum certification for ‘Smoke & A Light’

The band recently set a ticket sales record for a hometown show in Kentucky

Kentucky’s independent six-piece Ole 60 is soaring to new heights, earning RIAA platinum certification on their breakout single “Smoke & A Light.”

“It’s surreal – we haven’t been doing this even 18 months. Hitting these milestones as an independent band from small town Kentucky is a really cool, crazy thing to experience and celebrate” the band shares collectively. “We have the greatest fans in the world, and this proves it.”

This past weekend, Ole 60 stunned a packed-out Railbird Music Festival in their home state. Railbird was the first festival that front man and lead singer Jacob Ty Young ever attended, making the homecoming that much more special.

“Always something so special about coming back to Kentucky,” the band shared via social media yesterday. “The emotions and energy were higher than they’ve ever been. The love we felt all day was indescribable. Lexington, we love you so damn much. Cats by 90.”

Last month, Ole 60 set a new ticket sales record at Beaver Dam Amphitheatre, selling an impressive and serendipitous 6,060 tickets for their upcoming headline show on Friday, June 13th, and dropped “Nancy Ave,” their first new music in over seven months.
