Laci Kaye Booth drops ‘George F****** Strait’

The new track & video are available now

On the eve of her CMA Fest performance, Geffen Records artist Laci Kaye Booth pays tribute to a country music legend – and fellow Texan – with the release of her slow-burning new single, “George F****** Strait.” Extolling Strait’s enduring appeal, she pleads, “God give me a man / That just gets better with age / Like George f****** Strait.” Booth wrote the track with Melissa Fuller and Anderson East. Ben West (Stephen Wilson Jr., Patrick Droney), who helmed Booth’s debut album, The Loneliest Girl In The World, and singer-songwriter Anderson East produced. Booth pays a late night visit to the corral in the accompanying video, which was directed and produced by Natalie Sakstrup (Zayn, LÉON) and shot in Nashville.

“My very first concert was George Strait, the nosebleed seats at Houston Livestock show and rodeo,” recalls Booth. “The majority of his music I’ve known by heart since I was a little girl. This song is about admiring and loving a cowboy as he ages, with the prime example being the King of Country music, the Troubadour himself.”

Booth, who made her Grand Ole Opry debut in March, will be on the road this summer, supporting Megan Mooney on three dates and rejoining Parker McCollum for select shows. She’ll also play the North of Nowhere Music Festival in Ontario and Country Calling 2025 in Ocean City, Maryland.
