Hardy debuts ‘Bottomland’ from ‘Country! Country!’ album

The new 20-track album is due this fall

Hardy will release his new album Country! Country!, on September 29th via Big Loud. In celebration, the country rocker shares “Bottomland.”

“As a proud Mississippian, I am beyond excited to sing a song that represents the state so well. Thank you, Mossy Oak, for the most legendary camouflage pattern of all time. I hope you guys enjoy the song as much as I do. This is ‘Bottomland,'” he shares.

The new album was written in the wake of Hardy’s much-lauded rock album Quit!!, released last year to widespread critical acclaim. While he loved the thrash of jumping headfirst into the rock world, he missed his community — the peers he wrote No. 1 country radio hits and put together the Hixtape series with. After a step away, he felt refreshed.

So, he dove back into country and Country! Country! is the result. The album takes its name literally, ranging from celebrations of his youth in the Mississippi mud—“Bottomland” being named for a specific camo pattern Hardy favors for hunting—to commentary on the state of country music at large. In sum, it’s a celebration of what makes Hardy Hardy.

“Bottomland” and the new album follow Hardy’s recent EP Country! The standout track, “Favorite Country Song,” is surging at country radio.

Hardy hops back on the Jim Bob World Tour later this month for a slew of festivals and headline dates, culminating with his first-ever show at Madison Square Garden the week of the new album’s release. Koe Wetzel, Stephen Wilson Jr., and Sikarus join as support on select dates.
