Oasis photographer offers rare insight into the band with exhibition

Oasis: Be Here Now – Photographs by Kevin Cummins opens at Musichead Gallery ahead of Rose Bowl reunion shows

Musichead Gallery presents Oasis: Be Here Now, a special exhibition celebrating the return of Oasis and their long-awaited Live ’25 Tour. Coinciding with the band’s Rose Bowl shows, the exhibition features early photographs by British music photographer Kevin Cummins, captured just before Oasis’s debut album, Definitely Maybe.

Cummins will be at Musichead Gallery to open the exhibition and host an artist talk and signing for his newly released photo book, Oasis: The Masterplan, on September 4th from 7-9 pm. Tickets start at $50 and include a signed copy of the book. The publication offers an inside look at the band’s early image-making process, capturing the raw spirit of Oasis at the edge of superstardom.

As NME’s chief photographer throughout the 1980s and ’90s, Cummins helped define the visual identity of seminal Manchester bands including Joy Division and The Smiths. The exhibition’s title, Be Here Now, evokes more than a nod to the band’s third album. It invites fans to reflect on the roots of Oasis’s cultural impact. As the group reunites for the first time in over 15 years, this exhibition offers an opportunity to revisit the creative spark that made it all possible.

Oasis: Be Here Now runs through October 28th at Musichead Gallery in Los Angeles. A limited-edition poster commemorating the exhibition, Oasis: Be Here Now, designed exclusively for this event, will be available, with only 500 copies printed.
