Super7 announces Dimebag Darrell ReAction Figure

The collector’s toy will ship in late August

Super7 will release a Dimebag Darrell Abbott ReAction Figure later this month. The Pantera and Damageplan guitarist will be immortalized as a 3.75-inch scale.

This articulated figure captures the powerhouse guitarist in all his glory, adorned with his oversized Razorblade necklace, right down to his iconic pink beard, intricate tattoo detailing, and a whole lotta Getcha Pull. He also comes with a removable Culprit CherryBomb model guitar accessory, so he’s ready to unleash those unforgettable solos and power chords on your collection at a moment’s notice. Packaged on a full-color blistered cardback, this figure is the ultimate tribute to Dime’s legacy.

Dimebag Darrell was celebrated for his unique and aggressive guitar tone, powerful riffs, and virtuosic solos. He is considered one of the most influential guitarists in modern metal.

Born in Grand Prairie, Texas, Abbott’s father was a country music producer, which inspired Darrell to start playing guitar at a young age. He quickly gained a reputation as a guitar prodigy, winning local competitions.

In 1981, he co-founded the band Pantera with his older brother, drummer Vinnie Paul. The band initially had a glam metal sound but later shifted to a heavier “groove metal” style with the addition of vocalist Phil Anselmo. This new sound propelled them to international fame with albums like Cowboys from Hell in 1990 and Vulgar Display of Power in 1992.

After Pantera went on hiatus and eventually disbanded, the Abbott brothers formed a new band, Damageplan, in 2003.

On December 8, 2004, while performing with Damageplan at the Alrosa Villa nightclub in Columbus, Ohio, Dimebag Darrell was shot and killed on stage by a deranged fan. Three other people were also killed in the attack. He was 38.
