The song showcases his boundary-breaking signature country-soul style
Drake White ignites a new single of Southern nostalgia with “Nights on Fire” through his Reverend White, LLC. He notably co-wrote the track with Phil O’Donnell [Blake Shelton, George Strait], who also produced the track.
Across “Nights on Fire,” piano glimmers behind gently strummed chords and soft slide guitar. White leans into soulful verses as he sets an enviably idyllic scene, “Honeysuckle blooming / Silver buckle ‘Bama mooning / An army blanket on the banks of the Coosa River red clay.” His vocals practically smolder on the seismic refrain, “Nights on fire…it was free bird and long days and California dreaming / Old flames and burning small town bridges with desire.” The emotion eventually overflows and bursts into flames, carried by a hummable and hypnotic guitar solo. Ultimately, “Nights on Fire” showcases the breadth of his boundary-breaking signature style at its most powerful and passionate.
In other big news, White previewed his new documentary, The Hunts the Healing, during an intimate premiere and party at The Duck Blind, owned by Riley Green, in Nashville, earlier this week. He teamed with sponsors Realtree, Banded, Honey Brake, Outdoor Channel, Bergara, Bushnell, and Federal to present the film at an exclusive screening for family, friends, and special guests. The documentary officially launches September 21st on Realtree’s YouTube.
This fall, White presents his second Benefit For The Brain concert at Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on November 17th. Once again, he will headline, host, and curate the moving event. White’s non-profit, The Benefit For The Brai,n will donate and disperse proceeds from the show to select charity organizations.
With the full lineup to be unveiled soon, the event focuses on three pillars close to the White’s hearts: mental wellness for military and veterans, especially PTSD; brain health in children and adolescents; innovative approaches to stroke recovery and neurological treatment. The inaugural installment impressively sold out the Ryman, welcomed a diverse cohort of A-list artists (Riley Green, Randy Houser, Jamey Johnson, Colbie Caillat), and raised over $253,000.
White will be canvassing North America through the end of 2025. He will headline his Keep It Movin’ Tour in the fall, plus join Riley Green for the second leg of his Damn Country Music Tour. He’ll also appear at various festivals in addition to playing shows with friends such as Chase Rice, Travis Tritt, and Colt Ford.
