Alex Warren joins Spotify’s Billions Club

“Ordinary” crosses the milestone

Chart-topping singer-songwriter Alex Warren joins an elite club of hit makers as global No. 1 smash “Ordinary” crosses one billion streams on Spotify. Warren is only the second artist to hit the milestone across all songs released in 2025, following Bad Bunny’s “DtMF” last week. Reaching the achievement in just under seven months since “Ordinary’s” late February release, he is the first new artist this year to make it into the famed Spotify Billions Club.

At pop radio this week, “Ordinary” ties the record tenure at No. 1 with 12 consecutive weeks-and-counting on the Mediabase chart.

“Ordinary” appears on his debut album, You’ll Be Alright, Kid, which also includes multiple charting hits on the Billboard Hot 100, including “Ordinary,” “Eternity,” and “Bloodline” with Jelly Roll, “Carry You Home,” and “Burning Down” with Joe Jonas.

Over the weekend, Warren took home the 2025 MTV VMA for Best New Artist and delivered an electrifying performance of “Eternity” into “Ordinary.”

Burgeoning pop artist Alex Warren is one of 2025’s breakout stars worldwide. Now boasting over 4.7 billion total career streams and over 54 million monthly listeners on Spotify, his hit single “Ordinary,” released in February, recently certified platinum by RIAA, is taking over the world.

“Ordinary” is also No. 1 at Top 40 radio and Hot AC radio, currently holding the largest radio audience. Off the heels of the success of “Ordinary,” Warren released his album You’ll Be Alright, Kid in July. The album features all the songs on You’ll Be Alright, Kid (Chapter 1), released last fall, alongside ten new tracks. Amongst these new tracks are Warren’s smash hit “Ordinary,” “Bloodline” with Jelly Roll, and “On My Mind” with Rose. While You’ll Be Alright, Kid (Chapter 1) focuses on dealing with grief, You’ll Be Alright, Kid turns the page with healing, resilience, and optimism. The album is No. 5 on the Billboard 200 chart and dominated across charts globally, appearing at No. 1 in the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, and Norway.
