The Head And The Heart shares ‘Cop Car’

The original version stems from their sixth studio album

The Head and The Heart has teamed with Hurray for the Riff Raff on a new version of “Cop Car,” the original of which can be found on the group’s acclaimed new Verve Forecast album, Aperture.

The band’s lead singer, Jonathan Russell, has been a fan of Hurray for the Riff for many years, after first discovering the Alynda Segarra-led project via a video of them singing outside of a New Orleans house. After a recent listen to the Hurray for the Riff Raff track “Alibi” while flipping through the radio dial, Russell was inspired to reach out and propose a collaboration.

Hurray for the Riff Raff will support The Head and The Heart on the final few dates of their in-progress North American headlining tour, the itinerary for which can be seen below. A dollar from every ticket will be donated to the band’s Rivers and Roads Foundation, which raises money for local Seattle-based music programs and initiatives with an emphasis on equitable access to music education and mental health resources.
