The escalation happened at the Born & Raised Festival

The online feud between country artists Zach Bryan and Gavin Adcock has recently escalated, culminating in a near-physical confrontation at the Born & Raised Festival in Oklahoma.

The conflict originated in July following a social media interaction involving Bryan and a young fan. After a performance in New Jersey, a teenage fan posted a video expressing disappointment that Bryan had not stopped to greet fans who had been waiting for him. Bryan responded to the post, stating, “You’re not entitled after someone plays two and a half hours to a picture or a hello,” and added the acronym “GOMD” (Get Off My Dick).

Adcock then weighed in on social media, criticizing Bryan’s response and questioning his public persona and character. He stated, “If you can’t handle the criticism of a 14-year-old, why do people idolize you?” Adcock continued to criticize Bryan during an appearance on the Rolling Stone Nashville Now podcast, where he said, “I think that Zach Bryan puts on a big mask in his day-to-day life, and sometimes he can’t help but rip it off and show his true colors. I don’t know if Zach Bryan’s really that great of a person.”

The public feud came to a head at the Born & Raised Festival in Bryan’s home state of Oklahoma yesterday (Sat, Sept 13th). Videos from the event show Bryan scaling a barbed-wire fence to confront Adcock backstage. Security personnel intervened to prevent a physical fight, but Bryan can be heard shouting, “If they open this f—ing gate, I’ll f—ing kill you.” Adcock, in turn, responded, “I got a show to play, you clown son of a bitch.”

Adcock later posted a video of the incident on his social media, writing, “When you get death threats from Sack Cryin before you headline in his hometown,” and added the caption “Eat a Snickers, bro.” In a comment, he also stated that he didn’t want to get arrested before his performance, saying, “Had a show to play for Oklahoma. Wasn’t going to jail over that Psycho.”

Neither artist has issued an official statement regarding the confrontation.
