Outkast announces ‘Stankonia’ 25th anniversary expanded edition

The set includes three bonus tracks

Outkast marks the 25th anniversary of their groundbreaking album Stankonia with a limited-edition, expanded 3 LP pressed on purple marble vinyl, exclusive merch drops, and sustainability and other celebratory events in Atlanta this fall. In addition, the duo will be formally inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on November 8th.

To celebrate this milestone, Stankonia will be reissued as a deluxe three-vinyl set on heavyweight purple marble via Legacy Recordings on October 31st. This collector’s edition features three bonus tracks — “Speed Ballin’,” which has never before appeared on streaming services; “Sole Sunday,” featuring Goodie Mob; and two fresh remixes of “B.O.B.” by Cutmaster Swiff and the Beat Bullies. As part of the packaging, fans will also discover newly designed cover art by André 3000, a glow-in-the-dark poster, previously unreleased photographs from the original promotion, and deluxe gatefold packaging. In addition, special fan packs featuring a standard CD/long sleeve, 3 LP/t-shirt and standard black 2 LP/flag will be available.

Upon its initial release in 2000, Stankonia peaked at No. 2 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart, while the single “Ms. Jackson” climbed to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The enduring popularity of these tracks has achieved many RIAA certifications: “Ms. Jackson” is certified eight-times platinum, “So Fresh, So Clean” holds a double platinum certification, and the album as a whole has earned five-times platinum status.

In collaboration with Ceremony of Roses, on October 2nd, Outkast will release limited edition merch, including t-shirts, a hoodie, a cap and a poster. The offerings include two limited edition t-shirts, a black tee featuring a neon-inspired Mount Rushmore-style graphic of Outkast, and a charcoal tee with an image of Big Boi and André 3000 from the original Stankonia photoshoot. In addition, fans can shop a range of new products, including a black hoodie, a corduroy cap, and a poster designed by André 3000 twenty-five years ago as an alternate Stankonia CD cover, reissued now as a collectible print. These items will be available for pre-order on Outkast’s official merch store.

Additionally, in recognition of Outkast’s 2025 induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, a limited-edition reversible bomber jacket will be released in conjunction with the ceremony on November 8th.

In celebration of the 25th anniversary of Stankonia, Sony Music and Legacy Recordings will launch the So Fresh, So Green initiative in Outkast’s hometown of Atlanta. On October 29th, a community recycling drive will be held at the Headland Delowe shopping center—steps away from where the legendary duo first met—in partnership with local nonprofit Live Thrive. The first 100 participants will receive a limited-edition Outkast T-shirt as a thank-you for supporting the cause. To further honor Stankonia’s enduring legacy and commitment to a greener future, Trees Atlanta will plant 25 trees in the local community—one for each groundbreaking year since the album’s release.

Throughout October, more celebratory activations in honor of Stankonia (25th Anniversary) will be held in Atlanta.
