The song appears on his forthcoming album
Country traditionalist Jon Wolfe is ready to raise a glass to his next era of music. “Barstool Therapy,” the title track from his forthcoming album, is available now on all digital streaming platforms. The full project, Barstool Therapy: Session One, produced by Grammy-nominated Dave Brainard, arrives November 7th via Fool Hearted Productions. Rooted in the neon glow of a honky tonk and delivered with Wolfe’s signature blend of grit and polish, “Barstool Therapy” serves as the heart of the album – a whiskey-soaked confessional about the kind of hard truths only found between a bartender and an empty glass.
Fans have already gotten a taste of the project through early releases, “The Older I Get (More Country I’m Gettin’ to Be)” and “Tequila Cowboys” featuring Randy Rogers, both of which will appear on the album. Together, these tracks highlight Wolfe’s ability to balance stone-cold traditional country with contemporary storytelling that resonates across generations.
“Country music has always been about honesty, and sometimes the simplest stories carry the deepest weight,” Wolfe shares. “Barstool Therapy came from real-life moments…those late nights when you’re working through heartbreak or hard times, and the only person listening is the bartender serving you. This album is the most personal collection of songs I’ve ever put together, and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it in November.”
On August 10th, Wolfe hosted Jon Wolfe and Friends: Hill Country Flood Relief Benefit in partnership with Gruene Hall and KNBT 92.1 FM to raise money for those affected by the recent flooding in Kerr County and the surrounding areas. The evening, which raised over $115,000, featured performances by Tracy Byrd, Kevin Fowler, Roger Creager, William Beckmann, Radney Foster, Kelly Willis, Jake Worthington, Kylie Frey, Bleu Edmondson, Billie Jo Jones, Walker Montgomery, David Lewis, Clay Hollis, and Cody Hibbard.
