The run kicks off in mid-January
After releasing the album of the year, Savannah, GA native Jonah Kagen has announced his headlining Sunflowers & Leather Tour. The 32-date trek kicks off on January 20th in Indianapolis and hits some of the country’s most iconic venues, including New York’s Bowery Ballroom on February 4th, Nashville’s Basement East (Jonah’s now hometown) on February 12th, and two nights at one of LA’s Troubadour on March 9th and 10th.
Presales start on Tuesday, October 7th, at 10 am local time, ahead of the general sale on Friday, October 10th.
The tour is in celebration of the release of Kagen’s debut Sunflowers and Leather album, which was written and recorded after he spent a year on the road living in an Airstream that doubled as his recording studio. The album was released earlier this month and has already receivedan incredible reception as it debuted No. 3 on Spotify’s Top Albums Chart, and has hit over 35 million streams to date.
Amazon Music Presents recently tapped Jonah to perform “You Again” and “God Needs The Devil” in their incredible LA studios. The performance highlights Jonah’s incredible performance ability and the vocals of the performance solidify that Jonah Kagan is one of the best new artists of the year.
To accompany the release, Kagen partnered with acclaimed visual creative David O’Donohue (Noah Kahan, Lainey Wilson, James Bay) on a 16 mm documentary, Sunflowers and Leather: The Field Guide. Shot across the country, the film mirrors the journey that inspired the record, capturing Jonah’s travels from South Carolina to Montana and weaving in the landscapes, solitude, and resilience that shaped the album. Fans can experience the full documentary, along with highlights, behind-the-scenes photos, and unreleased footage via his website. The immersive site allows fans to track their progress as they explore the Field Guide and uncover the story behind the album, including how Jonah recorded and wrote Sunflowers and Leather entirely on his own in the Airstream studio he built.
With over 500 million global streams and nearly six million monthly listeners on Spotify, Jonah is one of the fastest-growing artists & lyricists of 2025. Recently, he did a pop-up show in Vancouver where over a hundred people showed up in just hours- read here. Not to mention earlier this year, he hit No. 1 at US alternative radio with his massive single “God Needs The Devil.” This, tied with his massive social following, nearly one million on all platforms, sets him up to be the best new artist of 2025!
Previously, Jonah released his Black Dress EP, a six-song body of work that was also self-recorded and produced while he was living and touring in the airstream. It featured “God Needs The Devil” and had an unhurried but meteoric rise to the No. 1 spot as it was placed on Spotify’s Pop Rising playlist’s Best Songs of 2024 and now has over 130 million streams worldwide.
