The project makes its vinyl debut
Reba McEntire will celebrate the 30th anniversary of her covers album, Starting Over, on January 23rd, via MCA. The new version will make its vinyl debut across 2 LPs, expanded to feature three tracks, one previously unreleased, and two that were available on other compilations but did not appear on the original album.
A previously unreleased cover of Linda Ronstadt’s “Heat Wave” is now available, along with a merch collection.
On October 3, 1995, McEntire released Starting Over, a collection of cover songs from artists she admired growing up. Featuring songs like Linda Ronstadt’s “You’re No Good” and Dolly Parton’s “Starting Over,” the album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart and has since been certified platinum by the RIAA for over a million copies sold. The album’s lead single, “On My Own,” was a historic collaboration between Reba, Trisha Yearwood, Martina McBride, and Linda Davis.
The album also coincided with Reba’s 20th anniversary of signing her record deal, which was celebrated that same year in the CBS television special Reba: Celebrating 20 Years.
