The music can be heard throughout the channel’s 16th Annual Countdown to Christmas
Music shapes the emotional landscape of Hallmark movies and that’s especially true during the most wonderful time of the year. Keeping with tradition, Hallmark Channel has teamed with top recording artists to feature festive songs that will lift spirits and make this year’s 16th annual Countdown to Christmas the most musically magical yet.
Front and center is Grammy Award-winner Brad Paisley, who wrote and recorded the original song “Counting Down the Days,” the official anthem of the 2025 Countdown to Christmas on-air campaign. Paisley also lends his talents to A Grand Ole Opry Christmas, with two original songs — “Leave the Christmas Lights on for Me” as performed in the movie by fictitious duo Winters & Wade (Rob Mayes, The Rookie & Luke Benward, Miss Valentine) and “Falling Like the Snow,” which he performs on the famed Opry stage. In addition, Paisley’s version of “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town” is a purr-fect part of the soundtrack in Christmas at the Catnip Café. All three songs appear on Paisley’s upcoming Christmas album Snow Globe Town, his first since 2006.
Grammy-nominated country artists Mickey Guyton and Drew Baldridge join forces for “Joy to Your World,” an all-new, Hallmark-exclusive duet that beautifully reflects the brand’s values, bringing warmth, connection, and the spirit of the season to life through music. Written by Niko Rubio, Dalton Diehl and Johnny Simpson, the song will be featured on air throughout the programming event.
Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without the timeless magic of beloved holiday songs. This year, Hallmark’s soundtrack is overflowing with yuletide favorites. Frank Sinatra’s classic “I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm” is part of the musical playbook for Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story, while Jimmy Fallon’s song “Holiday” featuring The Jonas Brothers adds a fresh, contemporary vibe to the lineup. Torch singer Julie London’s “I’d Like You for Christmas” makes the soundtrack to Christmas Above the Clouds soar and Dean Martin’s iconic “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas” adds to the nostalgia of A Newport Christmas. Setting the perfect tone in We Met in December is critically acclaimed Laufey’s dreamy rendition of “The Christmas Waltz.”
Rounding out the season’s soundtrack are standout contemporary performances. In A Grand Ole Opry Christmas, Megan Moroney delights with “All I Want for Christmas is a Cowboy,” while the sister-act duo of Tigirlily Gold brings a joyful spark with “Mistletoe Tipsy.” Mickey Guyton, who also has an acting cameo in the movie, debuts two new songs from her upcoming album, Feels Like Christmas, including “Save a Little Christmas for Me” in Tidings for the Season and “Sugar Cookie” in A Make or Break Holiday. Grammy winners Little Big Town’s version of “Santa Claus is Back in Town” can be heard in Three Wisest Men and Single on the 25th draws inspiration from Lauren Spencer Smith’s viral hit, with Spencer Smith appearing in a musical cameo.
For the past four years, Hallmark has proudly partnered with exceptional songwriting camps where incredible talent comes together to craft fresh sounds that capture the spirit of the season. This year, viewers are in for a treat with original songs like “Glow of the Season” by Alex Vickery in A Royal Montana Christmas; “Best Holiday Yet” by Lonis featuring Joh Mero in Christmas Above the Clouds, “Merry & Bright” by Jamra in Merry Christmas, Ted Cooper!; Valerie Broussard’s “Meet Me Under The Mistletoe” and “Joy” in Tidings for the Season; “Christmas All Around” by Esablau in A Suite Holiday Romance; “That’s What Christmas is All About” by Cole Simon in The Snow Must Go On and “Glow” by Moonzz as performed by Brooke D’Orsay and Jake Epstein in Oy to the World!, among many others.
