The song features Colde
Following the success of her single “Sky Walking,” I-dle’s Miyeon returns with “Reno” featuring Colde, the next track from her forthcoming second mini album, My, Lover, which releases on November 3rd. The new single offers a powerful glimpse into Miyeon’s evolving artistry and marks her next chapter after her debut solo EP, My.
“Reno,” featuring Colde, stands out for its striking sonic palette. Built around a hypnotic minor-key guitar loop, the song captures the volatility and exhilaration of love at its most consuming. Miyeon’s expressive vocal performance drives the track, while the addition of acclaimed artist Colde brings a compelling tension. As the arrangement builds, the track swells into a cathartic release, mirroring the emotional chaos and beauty that comes with love’s wildest moments.
The single follows “Sky Walking,” first introduced during her 2024 I-dle World Tour solo stage in Seoul. That track showcased a different facet of Miyeon’s artistry, pairing a bold bassline and crisp drums with shimmering ‘80s-inspired guitar and synths. Lyrically, “Sky Walking” carried a message of hope and freedom, and further highlighted Miyeon’s growth as both a songwriter and composer.
For Miyeon, “Reno” featuring Colde continues the momentum of a multifaceted career rooted in dedication, musicality, and versatility. Born Cho Mi-yeon in 1997, she trained in violin, guitar, and piano from childhood before debuting with I-dle in 2018. She quickly gained international attention as the voice of Ahri in the virtual K-pop group K/DA, whose hit single “Pop/Stars” topped Billboard’s World Digital Songs chart and became a global phenomenon.
With “Reno” featuring Colde and her upcoming mini album, My, Lover, Miyeon continues to expand her creative universe, merging her early classical training, the momentum of her group achievements, and her steadily growing solo voice. The new project promises to showcase yet another dimension of her sound, setting the tone for an exciting new era.
