Alice in Chains unveils self-titled 30th anniversary deluxe box set

The set is due early next year

Alice In Chains will celebrate the 30th anniversary of its 1995 self-titled album with a deluxe box set in early 2026. While no exact release date is set, the band has detailed the project, which is limited to three thousand units, exclusively via the official artist store.

The deluxe box set is packed with collectible items for fans. The centerpiece is the 2 LP vinyl housed in special pop-up gatefold packaging. Complementing the main album, the set includes three seven-inch singles and a cassette. For visual flair, it features ten custom art prints, 12 tarot cards, and two double-sided 24 by 24-inch posters. Rounding out the collection are unique novelty items, including a hardcover comic book, a double-sided zoetrope slip mat for the turntable, and a 3D ballerina and zoetrope coin record topper.

The album was originally released on November 7, 1995, via Columbia Records. It was produced by the band and Toby Wright. The grunge album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and has been certified double platinum in the US, with global sales exceeding three million.

The album features “Grind,” “Heaven Beside You,” “Again,” and “Over Now.” “Grind” and “Again” each earned Grammy nominations for Best Hard Rock Performance.

Alice in Chains was the third and final studio album with original lead singer Layne Staley. The band did not tour extensively to support the album due to Staley’s struggles.
