Brian Kelley shares ‘Bought a Boat’

The song is his first since his latest project

Brian Kelley taps the healing magic of the open water for his latest release, “Bought A Boat,” via Nashville South Records.

Getting over heartbreak by getting out beyond the breakers, the fresh track finds Kelley basking in the sunshine of a fresh start, and gliding across the lake in a new ride. With sharp hooks written by Corey Crowder, George Birge, Michael Tyler (2025 SESAC Nashville Music Awards’ Songwriter of the Year), and Jaron Boyer, course-correcting lyrics tribute, leaving worries on the dock to catch bass and a really good buzz.

Produced by Katlin Owen, blazing rays of sandbar pop join Kelley’s supremely laid-back coastal country style, as his natural creative instincts collide with a real-life vibe-shifting prescription. Having just bought a new boat himself, named after his wife Brittney Marie, he lets his golden vocal soar, while a steady pulse anchors bright, uplifting guitars.

Marking Kelley’s first release since dropping Sunshine State of Mind Season Two, Chapter One this past summer, he’s already counting down the days until warmer weather with tickets on sale now for a new round of Spring Break 2026 dates in March for his in-demand Surf Post Sessions. Hosted in the backyard of the Tribe Kelley Surf Post in Grayton Beach, FL, which he owns with Brittney, the intimate concert series has boasted over 60 sold-out headlining shows since 2022.
