The Head and The Heart announces 2026 Australian theater shows

Shows set for Brisbane & Thirroul

Frontier Touring welcomes The Head and the Heart to Australia in January 2026, with the platinum-selling six-piece set to play intimate theatre headline shows in Brisbane and Thirroul. Already announced as touring the country alongside long-time friends The Lumineers, the band will take time out for these two special headline dates, giving fans a rare up-close chance to experience the unmistakable harmonies and infectious live energy that have made the band global live favorites.

Presales start on Wednesday, December 3rd, ahead of the general sale on Thursday, December 4th at 1 pm local time.

Fifteen years into their career, the band arrives Down Under riding high with a renewed creative spark, captured on their self-produced sixth studio album Aperture, released in May.

Throughout 2025, the band has road-tested Aperture in style – a run of North American dates, a set with the Seattle Symphony, and a baseball stadium show in their Seattle hometown with The Lumineers.

Touring their previous release, 2022’s Every Shade of Blue, co-founder Jonathan Russell realized the band’s creative center needed a rebuild. After more than a decade of platinum singles, shifting responsibilities, and life changes, Russell took on most of the songwriting; that all changed with Aperture. Instead, the group opened up, each member shaping songs from the ground up. The result is the band’s most affirming and vital album to date.

After Australia, the group heads back to the US to join Grammy-winner Brandi Carlile on her February tour.
