Jet Jurgensmeyer releases ‘Nothing on You’

The track is a modern country love song

Rising country artist and actor Jet Jurgensmeyer unveils his new song “Nothing On You.” Co-written by Jurgensmeyer, Grant Bias, and Hannah Dorothy Bristow, “Nothing On You” captures the timeless feeling of falling for someone who outshines everything else. With its smooth blend of modern country and classic romance, the song paints a cinematic picture of love – the kind you can almost see playing out under neon lights and wooden dance floors.

“I really wanted a song that would paint a beautiful picture of a love story,” Jurgensmeyer shares. “When Bias, Hannah, and I sat down to write together, I had this melody stuck in my head. I imagined it as a song that felt like two-stepping with someone in a Texas bar. The words naturally fell onto the page, and now we have a song that I absolutely love!”

Recorded at Farmland Studio in the Berry Hill area of Nashville, and co-produced by Jurgensmeyer and Dan Frizsell, the song showcases Jet’s continued artistic evolution. Its heartfelt lyrics and warm, organic production strike a balance between intimacy and radio-ready polish, solidifying his place among country music’s most promising young voices.

“Nothing On You” marks Jet’s first release since his wildly successful single “Red,” which has surpassed a million streams worldwide and continues to climb. The fan-favorite anthem carries a powerful message of unity – reminding listeners that no matter where we come from, we all bleed red.

Following the success of “Red,” Jet released both an official music video and an acoustic video. Filmed at Galloway Farms in Franklin, Tennessee, and directed by the Riker Brothers. The cinematic visuals for the official music video, feature sweeping rural landscapes and symbols of American pride, highlight Jet’s grounded spirit and genuine artistry.

In 2024, Jurgensmeyer released his sophomore album, The Ride: Phase 2, a genre-blending collection praised for its emotional depth and inventive songwriting. The album features fan favorites like “Good Days,” “Coffee Bar,” and “Falling Too.” THE RIDE: phase 2 is available now on all streaming platforms here.

Beyond the music industry, Jurgensmeyer has made a name for himself as an award-nominated actor, delivering remarkable performances in both comedic and dramatic roles. Notable appearances include the series regular role of “Boyd” on the ABC/Fox hit comedy, Last Man Standing, as well as lending his voice to the lead character, Pip the Penguin, in the Disney animated series, Tots.

In addition to his thriving acting career, Jurgensmeyer has accumulated an impressive list of film credits, including roles in Adventures In Babysitting, Cupid’s Proxy, Hey Arnold! The Jungle Movie, Ferdinand, and American Sniper. He has also made appearances in popular television shows such as Ozark, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Grey’s Anatomy, and Black-ish. Jurgensmeyer’s talent extends to voice acting, with significant roles in Nickelodeon’s Shimmer and Shine, Bubble Guppies, Amazon’s Stinky & Dirt, and Disney’s Special Agent Oso and Pickle and Peanut.
