ABC, dick clark productions and the creators of For The Record partner to develop For The Record Live for television, a unique, genre-bending production turning the soundtracks of iconic director’s films into thrilling immersive live entertainment events. Creators and producers Shane Scheel and Anderson Davis have staged productions based on the work of acclaimed directors Quentin Tarantino, John Hughes, Baz Luhrmann, Martin Scorsese and more.

For The Record began in 2010 in a small bar in East Hollywood. Since then, FTR has become the “must-see show” in LA and has journeyed beyond California to New York, Chicago, SXSW in Austin, TX, the Montreal International Jazz Festival, a residency at Ace Hotel in Palm Springs, a dedicated venue on Norwegian Cruise Line’s Escape featuring a show that celebrates the soundtracks of 80’s Brat Pack films, a co-production with Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas and an upcoming residency at the Las Vegas Palazzo Theatre celebrating the movie music of Baz Luhrmann, beginning on June 25th. For The Record will return to Los Angeles on September 21st at The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts to celebrate legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese with American Crime Requiem.

For The Record has featured stars and newly discovered talent from stage and screen, including Golden Globe Nominee Evan Rachel Wood (Mildred Pierce, Across The Universe), Dancing With The Stars Champion Rumer Willis, Pretty Little Liars Janel Parrish, Tarantino’s Death Proof star Tracie Thoms (Rent, Devil Wears Prada), NCIS:LA star Barrett Foa, Lindsey Gort (The Carrie Diaries), Lindsay Pearce (Recovery Road, Glee Project), Ty Taylor (Vintage Trouble frontman), Audra Mae (singer/songwriter Heartbeat Song), Ginifer King (Broadway’s Gypsy, Nickelodeon’s Haunted Hathaways), the star of Cirque du Soleil’s Broadway show Paramour Ruby Lewis, and many more.

For The Record Live will be executive-produced by Allen Shapiro, CEO of dick clark productions; Mike Mahan, President of dick clark productions; Mark Bracco, EVP of Programming and Development for dick clark productions; and Shane Scheel, Co-Creator of For The Record. Ben Roy, Executive Director of Programming and Development for dick clark productions, will serve as Co-Executive Producer.
