The rocker’s plans include hitting the studio
Legendary guitarist and founding member of Kiss, Ace Frehley, has announced the cancellation of all his remaining live performance dates for 2025. The decision was made following advice from his medical team regarding ongoing health concerns.
The announcement was shared by Frehley’s team via social media, stating, “Due to some ongoing medical issues, Ace has made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of his 2025 dates.”
This full tour cancellation follows an earlier incident in September, where the guitarist was forced to postpone a single show. At that time, his team released a statement that read, “Dear Rock Soldiers, Ace had a minor fall in his studio, resulting in a trip to the hospital. He is fine, but against his wishes, his doctor insists that he refrain from travel at this time. As a result, he is forced to cancel his performance at the Antelope Valley Fair in Lancaster, California on Friday, September 26th.”
While the September accident and the current “ongoing medical issues” have not been officially confirmed to be directly related, Frehley’s health must take precedence over his touring schedule.
At 74, Frehley recently released his highly acclaimed album, 10,000 Volts, and was performing dates in support of the record. He also expressed his eagerness to continue working on his next covers album, Origins Vol. 3.
“Ace Frehley and his team sincerely regret the necessity of this action and the inconvenience it causes to his devoted ‘Rock Soldiers.’ All ticket holders are advised to seek refunds at their original point of purchase,” the announcement reads.
“Frehley is focused on his health and is looking forward to making a full recovery so he can return to the stage and the studio in the future.”
