Rapper teams with 14N1 Clothing & Disco Inferno

New York Streetwear Designer DripOnSociety’s 14N1 brand readies to unleash a collaboration with the iconic A$AP Mob’s founding member A$AP Illz to present More Fashion, Less Gun Violence during this upcoming New York Fashion Week. Creatively directed by A$AP Illz, presenting his streetwear brand, Disco Inferno as well as 14N1 Clothing, the runway will be presenting the respective collections winding through the legendary NYC’s Robert S. Fulton Residences, located at 21 West 17th Street, New York, NY 10011.

Select children from the Fulton Residences will be opening up for the fashion show with a choreographed set followed by a showcase of talent on September 10th at 5 pm ET. The lineup of guests walking also includes rapper A$AP Twelvyy, rapper A$AP Nast, rapper Hass Irv, rapper Bobby Nice, rapper, Lil Sccrt, rapper Yung Bans, artist Sakoya Wynter (daughter of JoJo Hailey from Jodeci), model Sober Yung Walter, model Prince Darko, model Johan Galaxy, designer Aleali May, journalist George Wayne, Soho House’s Karen Sanchez, Nightlife Impresario Richie Romero and Bravo NY Housewives’ Dorinda Medley, among others.

One of the three founding members of the A$AP Mob collective, A$AP Illz founded the Disco Inferno brand in 2017 in New York City, inspired initially by a skater punk gothic theme. Illz felt the need to come up with his own brand, because he is traditionally a street model but was inspired by the Disco 80’s era punk aesthetic. Disco Inferno has dressed A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg, Gunna, Famous Dex, and more.

“Some days, I feel like hell is on Earth, so I feel this aspect is apart of our everyday life in a lot of ways,” Illz shares. “Disco Inferno is a tribute to my childhood and inner angels and demons, mixed with cars, growing up in the Bronx listening to my older brother DJ hip-hop in the living room growing up in the projects, movies I watched as a kid and just fly things period. This brand is based on Dante’s Inferno and the nine circles of hell colliding with fashion that grew out of the Parkside Housing Development that I am from in the Bronx, which is the birthplace and mecca of hip-hop. I also wanted to shed light on how my generation is killing one another with gun violence through this collection specifically, and hope to lighten things up by displaying a fashion show right here in our community.”

Steven Hanson established the DripOnSociety brand in 2019, inspired heavily by vintage 70’s urban overtones mixed with rock and roll, for an unorthodox combination. Hanson took his knowledge of working on the floor of Wall Street and his expertise in the music business after previously being signed to Fat Man Scoop’s AV8 Records and took that knowledge to begin stitching culture to streetwear on his terms. Dabbling in hip hop music, Hanson was then propelled into the world of fashion after being featured on song, “Montana Dreams,” with rapper French Montana. 14N1 has garnered national distribution and recognition, and has been seen worn by Trapion, Lil’ Migo, Jay Gwaupo, Ayleks, Bobby Nice, Itzbizkit, and others.

“It is an honor to be able to create art and give back to the community, and an even bigger honor to work with such a creative force, such as A$AP Illz,” shares Hanson. “Nowadays, I feel like everyone lives to fit in with the trends at the time, wanting to look like a gangster, trendy, or street, until you get killed or catch a charge, sitting in jail for two to three years, just for the sake of looking cool – I think we need to just stick to the fashions and art.”

DripOnSociety’s Vantage and Filthy Lucre brands will also be presenting their collection on the runway, also designed by Hanson.
