To commemorate Beck’s 50th birthday today (Wed, July 8th), Khruangbin is gifting the seven-time GRAMMY-winner with a singular interpretation of a beloved song from his lauded catalogue. “No Distraction (Khruangbin Remix)” features the Houston, TX trio reconstructing this deep cut from Beck’s Best Alternative Music Album and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical GRAMMY-winning 2017 album Colors. The track is available now across digital platforms.
Beck’s current album Hyperspace was released November 22, 2019 on Capitol Records, and has been uniformly hailed as yet another in a series of nearly 30 years of creative peaks.
The album’s new dimensions in sound are the result of Beck’s most collaborative efforts to date. Seven of the album’s 11 tracks feature co-writing and co-production from Pharrell Williams. Longtime Beck bandmates Jason Falkner, Smokey Hormel and Roger Manning Jr. feature on much of the album as well.
