Song is first new original since Hyperspace album

This morning just got a bit less cloudy, thanks to Beck’s bittersweet new standalone single, “Thinking About You.”

The first new original Beck song to be released since his universally acclaimed, Grammy-winning Hyperspace album, “Thinking About You” is a sublime dose of undiluted elemental Beck. A heart-tugging ballad in the tradition of classics Morning Phase and Sea Change — and incidentally recorded in the very same room as the latter — “Thinking About You” finds Beck’s wistful vocal and acoustic guitar tones accompanied by Blake Mills on guitar and mandolin, Justin Meldal Johnsen on bass and Roger Manning on keyboards.

“Thinking About You” will have its network TV debut when Beck appears on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on February 16th.

“Thinking About You” drops on the eve of a busy touring year for Beck. His upcoming 2023 live calendar begins with a trio of stripped down acoustic performances in Australia, includes appearances at Willie Nelson’s 90th birthday shows at the Hollywood Bowl and the High Water Festival in North Charleston SC, and is rounded out by his highly anticipated North American co-headline tour with Phoenix.
