Show is Oct 9th

Due to overwhelming demand, Billy Joel has added another show as part of his record-breaking residency at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, October 9th. The October show will mark Joel’s 84th monthly and 130th lifetime show at The World’s Most Famous Arena.

Citi cardmembers will have first access to presale tickets from Monday, April 25th at 10 am ET through Thursday, April 28th at 10 pm ET via citientertainment.com. Tickets for the October show will be available for purchase by the general public on Friday, April 29th at 10 am ET via Ticketmaster. Due to congestion during the on-sale, it can be difficult to purchase tickets right away and fans are encouraged to check throughout the day. Tickets will also be available at the Madison Square Garden box office on Saturday, April 30th.

Prices range from $69.50 to $165.50. The concert, part of the Montefiore Concert Series, is being promoted by MSG Entertainment in association with AEG Presents and Q104.3 as a media partner.

In December 2013, Billy Joel was named Madison Square Garden’s first-ever music franchise, joining the ranks of the storied venue’s other original franchises – the New York Knicks and New York Rangers. The record-breaking residency began in January 2014 with Joel playing one show every month at The Garden, “as long as the demand continues,” says Joel.

In November 2021, Columbia/Legacy launched #50YearsofBilly with the release of Billy Joel – The Vinyl Collection, Vol. 1, a definitive 9 LP box set library chronicling the Piano Man’s evolution as a songwriter, performer and recording artist during his rise from obscurity to international superstardom in the 1970s.

Earlier this year, the labels launched an interactive Billy Joel “New York State of Mind” Landmarks website and released the digital-only EP, Places. The EP is the first in a series of thematic mini albums showcasing select tracks from the artist’s beloved repertoire.

Walmart is also offering exclusive collectors editions of six classic Billy Joel albums pressed onto 12-inch colored vinyl with exclusive photo insert. Those include Piano Man (Tan Swirl Vinyl), The Stranger (Grey Swirl Vinyl), 52nd Street (Blue Swirl Vinyl), Glass Houses (Sky Blue Vinyl), An Innocent Man (Custard Vinyl) and Storm Front (Maroon Vinyl).
