The all-star concert was set for June 7th

The Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame (LIMEHOF)’s 20th Anniversary Concert featuring the music of Billy Joel and induction of Music Agent Dennis Arfa and Tilles Center at LIU Post has been canceled. The organization says it’s due to family commitments preventing Joel from attending.

“LIMEHOF sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience this cancellation may cause and thanks you for your understanding. Tickets will be refunded at the place of purchase,” the organization shares.

The event was scheduled for June 7th at LIU Post in Brookville, New York with performances by Alexa Ray Joel, Debbie Gibson, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, Public Enemy’s DJ Johnny Juice, The Rascals’ Felix Cavaliere, Jimmy Webb, and others.

The Billy Joel – My Life exclusive exhibit showcases over 50 years of Billy Joel’s most cherished items, which include rare memorabilia, behind-the-scenes video footage, dozens of awards, rare audio and video recordings, vintage instruments, and historic photos—many of which were donated by Billy Joel himself and have never before been displayed for public viewing. Billy Joel fans from near and far arrived to see the exhibit, which appeals to families and visitors of all ages. This exhibit is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity where families and visitors from all walks of life may experience Billy Joel’s life-spanning career—from his roots in Hicksville/Levittown through his albums, tours, inspirations, and personal experiences.
