Duo will debut single at Grand Ole Opry

Multi-hyphenate global entertainer Billy Ray Cyrus and critically-acclaimed songstress Firerose unleash their Diane Warren-penned power ballad, “Plans,” available everywhere digitally. Released through Damon Elliott’s Kind Music Group, Cyrus and Firewose will premiere the song at the Grand Ole Opry this evening (Fri, Aug 10th).

The video “features Firerose walking through a magical door in an enchanted forest to meet Cyrus in a meadow. Together, the duo wear in what appears to be wedding attire — Cyrus in an edgy spin on a tux and Firerose in a glimmering gown — and duet in front of a fireplace while rose petals cascade down,” according to People.

“Firerose is one of the best lyricists I know and actually takes great pride in only recording songs that she has written,” Cyrus shares. “So when she came to me one day so excited about a song she’d just received from another songwriter, needless to say, I was quite surprised. Then I heard the name of the writer and she played me the demo, and I realized her exuberance was justified. ‘Plans’ by Diane Warren – one of the most legendary songwriters of our time. When Firerose and I collaborate in our diverse musical styles, it makes a unique blend of pop-country. They say the rest is history, but in this case… it’s the future.”

“It’s very meaningful for me to be singing this powerful love song with Billy. Diane Warren’s unparalleled talent has always inspired me tremendously as a songwriter,” Firerose adds. “When she sent me ‘Plans’ I immediately knew it was made for us.”

“Plans” explores romantic lyrics of love and commitment packed with powerhouse feelings only Firerose and Cyrus can emote.

Two-time Grammy-winning producer Damon Elliott’s label, Kind Music Group, will release the single written by Grammy, Emmy, two-time Golden Globe winner and 14-time Oscar nominated songwriter Diane Warren. Damon produced the video for “Plans.”
