Blanco Brown and T.I. have released the first of their upcoming joint collaboration album, with the release of “Trap Still Bumpin” distributed by Cinq Music. Arguably both Blanco Brown and T.I. have dominated their respective sub-genre, with T.I. being the King of Trap Music and Blanco being the King of Trailer Trap Music, a sub-genre of country music that he created. Trailer Trap is an infusion of hip hop with country elements over hard-hitting 808s.

This year, Brown and T.I. decided that it was time to get together in the studio and record some records together. Within a week, at T.I.’s SuperSound Studios in Atlanta, the pair were able to come up with a whole body of work. The first introduction to the world of their collaborations is with “Trap Still Bumpin.”

“Twenty years later, the trap is still bumpin,” T.I. shares.

“This record is the first record born outside of myself, as part of a collaboration, that is trailer trap,” Blanco echoes. “We’re taking this straight from Bankhead to the world, colliding two different worlds, the trap and the trailer park, and the end result is trailer trap music.”

Since releasing at midnight, the support across all DSPs has been amazing, as there has been tremendous editorial playlist support behind “Trap Still Bumpin.” Fans have reacted positively to this release, and the gentlemen can’t wait to start releasing more from their joint project.

Co-Directed by T.I. and PhillyFlyBoy, the video for “Trap Still Bumpin” was filmed on Daniel Lee Holloway, where both Blanco Brown and T.I. grew up. This clip gives fans across the world insight into that Down South, Atlanta livin’, emblazoned with lifted trucks, cowboys, and backyard country fun co-inhabited with hip hop trap culture. Fans in Times Square were treated to being able to view the full music video on BET’s billboards at their global headquarters, and those in attendance at this Sunday’s Falcons vs. Bears game at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta will have a special treat as well.

The Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville recently created a permanent installation in the museum for Brown. It’s the first time in the history of the Hall of Fame that an installation was put in place so early on in an artist’s career that stemmed from Brown’s 2019 single “The Git Up,” is the biggest line-dancing single of all time, and certified 15x Platinum worldwide to date.

Next week, Brown will hit the Big Apple to perform that single at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
